Established in 1976, award-wining LaFerney Commercial Roofing built their reputation on quality workmanship, excellent customer satisfaction, and innovation. Through years of experience, LaFerney has perfected their roofing cycle from beginning to end. To continue their established precedent of excellence, the team at LaFerney engages in continuous training and education to stay ahead of industry trends, techniques, and technological advancements.

In continuation of these efforts, in 2017 LCR sought a fully-integrated unified system to address their accounting, inventory/equipment tracking, and customer relationship management processes.

As with every unique customer and project, Intellithought first met with LaFerney to gain an understanding of their processes in order to develop a solution that combined existing and custom software for a back office system that optimizes outcomes and fits LCR’s unique needs, goals, and budget.

The project was divided into the following phases:

Phase 1 – Research

Intellithought began by researching solutions for accounting and inventory management, and we worked closely with vendors to vet software features. Following the extensive research, we made a recommendation to LaFerney. Next, we worked with LaFerney to define their needs beyond the capability of the chosen package, and we documented specifications and estimates for the custom development of the identified optional tools and software.

Phase 2 – Accounting/Inventory Implementation

During this phase, Intellithought managed the installation and configuration of the chosen Accounting/Inventory software. We were able to complete the installation under budget.

Phase 3 – CRM Custom Development and Training

Next, we developed a custom customer resource management software and fully integrated it with the accounting and inventory program. We also documented future feature options to further enhance the software. Lastly, we trained LaFerney personnel on using their new software.

Today

Intellithought continues to work with LaFerney to further simplify accounting, inventory, and customer relationship management. Updates include enhancements to Job management, User roles, Dashboard functionality, overall process flow, user interface, and more.
